Marketing teams today aren’t struggling because their lead magnets are weak and they’re struggling because the process around them creates too much friction. Prospects still bounce from landing pages to long forms, to email inboxes, to PDF downloads before they ever reach your actual content.

What teams really want is simple:

  • A way for people to submit their details inside the flipbook itself, without forcing them through a separate landing page.
  • A way to have engagement data, page views, clicks, and downloads automatically appear in HubSpot or Salesforce.
  • A way to avoid temporary patches, like manual exports of data.

This is exactly where in-context lead forms become transformative for generating leads. And it doesn’t matter if your digital content is a catalog, a brochure, a case study, a course manual, or a visual magazine; every type of content performs better when users can engage first and convert inside it. In-context lead capture works across all formats because the form appears when attention is already close, no matter the subject matter.

This is the gap Flipsnack fills. By embedding lead forms directly into your digital flipbooks and syncing every submission and engagement metric into your HubSpot or Salesforce, Flipsnack removes friction, boosts conversions, and turns your content into a true revenue engine.

What is an in-context lead form?

An in-context lead form is a prospect who submits their details directly inside the content they’re engaging with, right at the moment interest is highest. No landing pages, no redirects, just a natural conversion within the flipbook itself. This approach fits perfectly into broader form-based lead strategies, especially when paired with best practices around form length, placement, and qualification that modern marketing teams rely on.

Why traditional lead capture is not working anymore

The traditional lead generation model has barely changed in a decade:

Ad → Landing page → Big form → Email → PDF download → Hope they read it

This flow is slow, disjointed, and built for a different era. Every step creates a drop-off:

  • Landing page bounce
  • Form abandonment
  • Email deliverability gaps
  • “Save it for later” downloads
  • PDFs lost in inboxes

Meanwhile, teams are left guessing:

  • Did they read it?
  • Which pages?
  • Did they click anything?
  • Are they even interested?

Traffic goes up. Submissions don’t. Engagement metrics remain blind spots.
And the CRM only captures the form, not the behavior behind it.

Buyers today expect instant access. They want to explore content before committing, not the other way around. Traditional gating works against this reality, which is why conversion rates remain stubborn.

Capture leads at peak engagement

In-context lead capture flips the funnel by moving the conversion moment directly inside the content itself, placing the form exactly where the reader is already engaged. This removes most of the friction created by landing pages and downloads, captures genuine buying intent, and creates a far more intuitive user experience.

It also unlocks meaningful engagement data and turns your content into a true pipeline generator by showing sales who viewed what and for how long. It’s the most natural alignment between how people consume content and how businesses collect leads.

The conversion problem vs. the operational problem

Most teams don’t just have one challenge; they have two when it comes to in-context forms.

1. The conversion problem

This happens when prospects drop off before they ever reach your content. Landing pages, long forms, email confirmations, and PDF downloads create friction at every step. Even when someone does convert, you lose visibility into what they actually engaged with. You’re left with a name in the CRM, but no context.

Embedding forms inside digital content solves this. It shifts the conversion moment into the experience itself, capturing leads at the height of their interest. No redirects. No inbox hunting. No drop-off. Just a simple, native moment of conversion while the user is already engaged.

2. The operational problem

Even when you capture leads successfully, teams often face a second barrier: getting that data into the CRM in a clean, automated, and actionable way. Many rely on Zapier, CSV imports, or manual syncing just to get form submissions into Salesforce or HubSpot. And even then, the CRM rarely shows the full picture. Teams want to know:

  • Which pages were viewed
  • What links were clicked
  • What products were explored
  • How long someone spent reading

They also want to trigger workflows based on this behavior: better nurturing, smarter scoring, faster sales follow-up. Without native integration, this operational layer becomes a bottleneck.

How to integrate Flipsnack lead forms with your CRM (Salesforce or HubSpot)

Embedding forms inside your content solves the conversion problem. Connecting those forms to your CRM solves the operational one. Teams in marketing and sales want three simple things:

  • Lead capture that goes straight into their CRM ( Salesforce or Hubspot, for example)
  • Engagement data added to the contact timeline, showing page views, clicks, and time spent.
  • Workflows are triggered by content behavior, allowing them to nurture smarter, score leads more accurately, and support faster sales follow-up.

Flipsnack’s native integrations with Salesforce and HubSpot deliver all of this, turning your interactive content into a fully connected part of your revenue engine.

Flipsnack’s native integrations with Salesforce and HubSpot make it easy to capture leads directly inside your flipbooks and send them straight into your CRM, and no manual exports, no extra landing pages. The process for both platforms follows the same simple pattern: add a lead form, connect your account, map your fields, and test.

Below is your unified setup guide for both Salesforce and HubSpot in Flipsnack:

Step 1: Add a lead form to your flipbook

Make an account in Flipsnack, upload your content, and go to Customize preview. Scroll down to the Lead Form section.

Click on Customize preview and from there you can add a lead capture form

Enable the form and add your fields, title, button text, and GDPR/privacy details. Choose the exact page where the form should appear.

click on Customize on the "Add lead capture form" and choose how to personalized it

Tip: Place the form a few pages in to capture higher-intent leads.

Step 2: Connect your CRM account

Inside the Lead Form panel, toggle the CRM you want to connect:

  • Salesforce: Click the Salesforce switch. Log in and approve access.
  • HubSpot: Click the HubSpot switch. Select your account and approve permissions.
You can choose from Hubspot or Salesforce that are integrated directly in Flipsnack

After approval, you’ll return to Flipsnack, and the integration will be active.

Note: You can also manage connections globally via Settings → Integrations → Salesforce / HubSpot

Step 3: Map your form fields

Once connected, you’ll see a field-mapping panel.

Match each Flipsnack form field to a CRM field. Salesforce supports standard + custom fields and HubSpot supports contact properties. Use the search bar to quickly find the right fields. And then simply click on save changes when you’re done.

Step 4: Test your integration

Once everything is connected, run a quick test to make sure your setup is good to go. Preview your flipbook, submit a test form using a test email, and then check your CRM.

In Salesforce, you should see a new entry under Leads, and in HubSpot, the new contact will appear with “Flipsnack integration” listed as the record source.

If it shows up, your integration is working, and you’re all set to start capturing real leads directly from your content.

And for teams ready to streamline their process, improve lead quality, and align content with CRM performance, Flipsnack is built to deliver.
