We know that when you grow, we grow together with you, so we think about you all the time. That is why we rolled out Flipsnack categories – we want what is best for your publications and we think this will help.
Why should I set a category?
By using categories, your flipbooks will get more exposure. We will build custom landing pages for these categories which will drive traffic to your publication. And not just any type of traffic. We’re talking about people who are interested in reading your contents, who might share the link with their friends and who will come back to you for more. You will get more traffic from our network, from other users, but also from Google searches. Sounds good, right?
If your publication are unlisted, this will not affect you in any way. They will still be hidden from Google and they will not show up on the category pages.
How do I set them?
When you publish, you will see a popin window that will ask you to set some categories for your new publication. Click the “More” link to see all the available categories and choose all that apply. You must pick at least one.
Set categories in bulk for older publications
You can also set categories for your older publications. Start from the yellow notification that appears in My collections, and click the link on “select the most relevant ones”.
This will open a window that will allow you to set categories in bulk. Just select all the flipbooks that apply to one category and then choose the category they apply to, on the right. Save and repeat the process. Easy, right?
What do you think about the new feature?

I do a lot of flipbooks for religious organizations. I don't think you have a category suitable for that. I know Facebook has a RELIGIOUS category.
Hi Patti, thank you for the suggestion. We'll add more categories, and we'll make sure we put "religious" on the list.
