It’s the end of June, so it’s time to share with you our favorite flipbooks of the month. We contacted the users who published them and asked for a write-up, because we wanted you to get to know the people/ the organizations behind these publications.
We love the diversity in design, publication types and subjects that are reflected in today’s Top flipbooks post. Click the images to see the full publications and get inspired by their beautiful layouts.
Thank you all who agreed to be a part of this blog post. You guys are the best!
I’m a first time entrepreneur and publisher from Melbourne, Australia. The reason I created Foundr is because I felt there wasn’t really a publication out there that spoke to young aspiring and novice stage entrepreneurs that truly delved deep into what it takes to become a successful entrepreneur. Hence the birth of Foundr. We’ve been publishing for 3 years now with no signs of slowing down!
Our experience with Flipsnack has been amazing thus far! We found it really difficult to find an easy to use publishing platform to publish foundr on the desktop and web browser but at the same time being able to protect that content for paid subscribers to Foundr club. We now swear by the software and will continue to use Flipsnack forever!
Manhattan Institute report
The Manhattan Institute’s series “Poverty and Progress in New York” tracks the effects of Mayor Bill de Blasio’s policies on lower-income New Yorkers. This report, the ninth installment, updates our analysis of the Mayor’s Action Plan for Neighborhood Safety (MAP), an initiative to reduce crime in public housing.
MI policy analyst Alex Armlovich has authored previous “Poverty and Progress” reports measuring welfare trends, education, and longer-term crime trends among lower-income residents in New York City.
Flipsnack is the ideal platform for which to share and promote reports created by our fantastic design team. We greatly appreciate the unique service Flipsnack provides.
Roots and Wings catalog
Bringing together Scandinavian design and organic Merino Wool from New Zealand, Roots & Wings Merino garments for babies and children are both beautiful and functional. Merino is a unique fabric that combines warmth, breathability and easy care with luxurious softness.
Every step of our manufacturing process, from sheep to shop is transparent and certified to the highest standard. So you can trust that the garment is not only best for baby, it’s best for their world too.
For our publication, we wanted to provide our customers and bloggers with information about the wonders of merino, but in a format that wasn’t just your standard brochure (which we all know ends up with the empty milk cartons at the end of the day).
Founder, Stine Smith and graphic designer, Dana Gaddum, decided to make a small booklet using the images and illustrations they created for the brand, so parents could both gain information on merino and also read the story and look at the pictures with their children.
“Having an electronic version made by Flipsnack makes it incredibly easy to share our booklet world-wide. We tried and tested a lot of different eBook companies, and finally found Flipsnack through our web developer. We couldn’t actually believe how easy it was. We’ll definitely be creating more publications to go online with Flipsnack. Such a shame to spend time making beautiful publications to a limited hard copy audience only.”
Alex Yam’s Portfolio
“My name is Alex Yam and I’m a Graphic Designer based in Singapore. I am a recent graduate from the Glasgow School Of Art with a Bachelors (Hons) in Communication Design.
I have experience with designing advertisements and marketing collateral both offline and online. I am also proficient with hands-on skills and have a keen interest in paper craft, sculpture, installations and a passion for packaging concepts.
I recently redesigned and updated my portfolio, and that was when I came across Flipsnack! It is an amazing online platform and I found the interface to be really user friendly. You can find out more about my works on Behance and I hope you like my flipbook.”
AZURE is an award-winning magazine with a focus on contemporary architecture and design. Since its launch in 1985, it has earned a global reputation for excellence. Its international perspective and multidisciplinary coverage – which puts architecture, interiors, products, landscapes and urbanism together in a real-world scenario – make it distinct from any other publication available on newsstands.
We use flipsnack to give prospective readers a taste of what is inside an issue of AZURE. Our readers are discerning professionals who appreciate quality touches – and Flipsnack offers us a stylish and user friendly way to engage with them, viewable on desktop and mobile, with an easy to use interface that is straight to the point.
Lume photography guide
I am a fine art wedding and engagement photographer, based in Goodrich, Michigan, and travel throughout the US, Canada, and sometimes overseas. My studio is environmentally conscious, taking care to use responsible business practices that do not impact the earth or environment whenever possible. All of our albums, prints, and other products are vegan, and produced by labs that parter with responsible forestry organizations like AmericanForests.org. I use Flipsnack to deliver my Studio Guide and pricing information to my clients (and potential clients), and it saves me from wasting paper- plus it looks great! The guide is embedded into a page on my website, lumephotography.com, and it works perfectly with my branding.
Green schools online prospectus
Green Schools Online design websites and printed prospectuses for over 1,000 schools across the UK. The prospectus for The Catholic High School, Chester was designed alongside their new school website to ensure a consistent look. It features large images to make the most of their great photography and is presented with a clean, modern design. The printed version will be used to promote the school to prospective parents at upcoming open evenings and comes with a rear pocket for inserts. Flipsnack allows us to easily present printed prospectuses on our school websites in an engaging and attractive way.
We are Koala booklet
We are a design agency based in Newmarket, Suffolk and when designing brochures or booklets, we find Flipsnack a really handy tool for showing clients how the finished document might look. Before we discovered Flipsnack, we used to just send our clients a standard PDF document – but this would not give them a sense of how the final printed document would flow, whereas Flipsnack does exactly that.
We have tried other online flipbook companies in the past, but Flipsnack is by far the best we have come across. It’s really easy to use, it looks great because the interface is really simple and clean, and even though we only have a free account – it doesn’t have intrusive ads all over it (unlike other similar services we have tried in the past), so it’s very professional looking. I have been so impressed that I have even recommended Flipsnack to several other design companies we have a relationship with.
Masisa lab Magazine
We use Flipsnack since 2012, to produce our “Revista Lab”, which is the magazine of MASISA Lab. The incubator laboratory of MASISA is a wood-based panel company, leader in Latin America. It’s focus is on design, architecture and the construction industry. All magazines are unique because we work with Cristian Arriagada, our graphic designer who illustrates by hand all editions. Our objective with this magazine is to create an innovation culture within Masisa.
